Trans-national Access (TA)
activities at research infrastructures

Trans-national Access Activities make up a significant proportion of the VIPERLAB project in order to attract a large number of users and to offer them more dedicated Trans-national Access (TA). These TA are relevant for the photovoltaic community as well as the material community.

They  do not only focus on depositing, characterizing and testing materials and devices, but also aim at integration of data produced into a standardized database, to enable the widest possible spectrum of innovative solutions,

External users – this means without an affiliation to one of the Consortium partners - will be able to access VIPERLAB´s research infrastructures as users, whose user proposals will be evaluated according to the same set of criteria (e.g. scientific merit).

  • Access to an infrastructure will be granted according to the rating of the proposal and the booking factor at the infrastructure. This way, the VIPERLAB Consortium will enable faster access and will be less time consuming for the users waiting for a decision, as compared to an application system with calls with a fixed submission deadline.
  • GATE (HZB-User-Web-Interface) will be the entry point for all users and evaluators in the project
  • Gender relevant issues will be taken into account by giving priority to projects which allow gender equality and in  connection with pregnancy and areas of increased exposure to radiation at the infrastructures
This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N° 101006715
