Courses, Season Schools & Training Events

The aim of this task is the training of VIPERLAB  partner’s scientific community and VIPERLAB's Infrastructures users based on the offer/demand of expertise, infrastructures, equipment.

  • A set of training interactive courses  is running  planned in collaboration with all Joint Research Activity leaders and with VIPERLAB partners.
  • These  training events  offer opportunities to gain practical and professional skill in using equipment and test procedures in research activity by effectively interacting  with experts.

This web area is also open

  • to any External organziations participating in CHEETAH KEPT-PV platform  would disseminate their own training events.

If you are interested to propose a post for your event, plase forward an email

VIPERLAB-KEP doesn't support dissemination of training events  based on profit approach.

The 3rd edition of the tandemPV Workshop took place from June 6-8, 2023 in Chambéry and online and was hosted by CEA & INES. 280 participants from 30 countries, both online and on-site in Chambéry, participated to present, share and discuss latest tandem PV technologies.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on May, 24th 2023

This  workshop proposed by Viperlab project with the involevement of HZB, AIT, Fraunhofer ISE, EPFL, UniTOV, ENEA focusses on the needs and benefit of a standardized and homogeneized approach regarding device characterization and -processing, overview of the measurement principles and the differences compared to standard calibration of silicon solar cells, good practices to measure tandem devices at lab level, and will end with an an ovierview about Viperlab activities in characterization and standardization, outdoor monitoring of single and tandem perovskite devices and fabrication of 2T mechanically stacked tandem

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on May, 11th 2023

On May 11, 2023 VIPERLAB offered its first  public event to shed light on several topics related to the status of achievements in the perovskite PV field such as the status of community and infrastructures available in Europe, the latest achievements in solar cells and PV modules performance, market perspectives, development of  a strategic Research and Innovation agenda to provide guidance to different stakeholders to accelerate the development of the technology and its market introduction. The event was offered in conjunction with the Annual ETIP-PV assembly in Brussels

PEROSPACE is a workshop organized by Dr. Narges Yaghoobi Nia UniTOV/UniROMA1 and  supported by University of Rome Tor Vergata, EU-H2020 VIPERLAB Project and Aerospace Engineering School of Sapienza University of Rome focussed on last trends in  Perovskite Solar Module Fabrication & Commercialization and Space Applications of Perovskite Solar Photovoltaics. The registration is free. Online participation is also offered on the first day.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Sep, 29th 2022

It took place in parallel to the WCPEC-8 conference at the same venue in Milan. The goal of the workshop is to define a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for perovskite PV modules, starting from the recently published SRIA document by ETIP-PV and EERA-PV. Particularly the workshop  focussed on single-junction perovskite PV modules and start from the recently drafted European Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Photovoltaics.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Sep, 14th 2022

The First strategic VIPERLAB workshop on main harmonization/standardization challenges for Perovskite PV” took place from 14th to 15th September 2022 in Vienna, Austria. Participants were mainly people belonging to the VIPERLAB stakeholder list, the VIPERLAB advisory board, the Perovskite industry community and external stakeholders of interest. The program consisted of talks on harmonization and standardization, industry needs and developments, and the VIPERLAB project itself, including related work package activities associated to fabrication and characterization. These talks were then followed with discussions (panel & general) on challenges, take-aways and next steps.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Jun, 02nd 2022

A workshop was proposed by  Fraunhofer ISE about  precise measurement of perovskite silicon tandem solar cells. Viperlab partners from CEA, CENER, CSEM, EPFL, Fraunhofer ISE, HZB and the University of Rome discussed about the measurement principles and the differences compared to standard calibration of Silicon solar cells, and the measurement procedures at different research institutes. The workshop was concluded by a tour through Fraunhofer ISE´s Calibration facilities.
