Courses, Season Schools & Training Events

The aim of this task is the training of VIPERLAB  partner’s scientific community and VIPERLAB's Infrastructures users based on the offer/demand of expertise, infrastructures, equipment.

  • A set of training interactive courses  is running  planned in collaboration with all Joint Research Activity leaders and with VIPERLAB partners.
  • These  training events  offer opportunities to gain practical and professional skill in using equipment and test procedures in research activity by effectively interacting  with experts.

This web area is also open

  • to any External organziations participating in CHEETAH KEPT-PV platform  would disseminate their own training events.

If you are interested to propose a post for your event, plase forward an email

VIPERLAB-KEP doesn't support dissemination of training events  based on profit approach.

[WORKSHOP] - Start date May, 11th 2023

VIPERLAB offers its first  public event to shed light on several topics related to the status of achievements in the perovskite PV field such as the status of community and infrastructures available in Europe, the latest achievements in solar cells and PV modules performance, market perspectives, development of  a strategic Research and Innovation agenda to provide guidance to different stakeholders to accelerate the development of the technology and its market introduction. Theevent is offered in conjunction with the Annual ETIP-PV assembly in Brussels

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Mar, 21st 2023

We are pleased to invite you to the next VIPERLAB roadmapping workshop for perovskite PV technology development and harmonization in Europe. This workshop will be held on March 22th, 2023 9:00-12:30 during Energy Conversion and Storage Days" events. organized by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and will take place at the premises of KIT, Campus Nord in Karlsruhe/Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Mar, 13th 2023

We are reaching out to inform you about the upcoming LCA Methodology Harmonization Workshop set for the 13th and 14th of March, 2023, in Brussels (Hybrid), organized by Uni Liege, Fraunhofer ISE, TNO & Uni Siena.
The aim of the workshop is to align and harmonize the LCA methodology and subsequent results comparability for perovskite solar cells and, to a larger extent, for innovative PV within the European research community.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Nov, 28th 2022

PEROSPACE is a workshop organized by Dr. Narges Yaghoobi Nia UniTOV/UniROMA1 and  supported by University of Rome Tor Vergata, EU-H2020 VIPERLAB Project and Aerospace Engineering School of Sapienza University of Rome focussed on last trends in  Perovskite Solar Module Fabrication & Commercialization and Space Applications of Perovskite Solar Photovoltaics. The registration is free. Online participation is also offered on the first day.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Sep, 29th 2022

It took place in parallel to the WCPEC-8 conference at the same venue in Milan. The goal of the workshop is to define a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for perovskite PV modules, starting from the recently published SRIA document by ETIP-PV and EERA-PV. Particularly the workshop  focussed on single-junction perovskite PV modules and start from the recently drafted European Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Photovoltaics.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Sep, 14th 2022

The First strategic VIPERLAB workshop on main harmonization/standardization challenges for Perovskite PV” took place from 14th to 15th September 2022 in Vienna, Austria. Participants were mainly people belonging to the VIPERLAB stakeholder list, the VIPERLAB advisory board, the Perovskite industry community and external stakeholders of interest. The program consisted of talks on harmonization and standardization, industry needs and developments, and the VIPERLAB project itself, including related work package activities associated to fabrication and characterization. These talks were then followed with discussions (panel & general) on challenges, take-aways and next steps.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Jun, 02nd 2022

A workshop was proposed by  Fraunhofer ISE about  precise measurement of perovskite silicon tandem solar cells. Viperlab partners from CEA, CENER, CSEM, EPFL, Fraunhofer ISE, HZB and the University of Rome discussed about the measurement principles and the differences compared to standard calibration of Silicon solar cells, and the measurement procedures at different research institutes. The workshop was concluded by a tour through Fraunhofer ISE´s Calibration facilities.

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on May, 30th 2022

The 2nd edition of the tandemPV Workshop, hosted by Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), took place as a hybrid even from May 30 to June 1, 2022, in Freiburg, Germany. The workshop on site participation  took place  in the brand new soccer stadium of SC Freiburg (Europa-Park Stadion) in close proximity to the Fraunhofer-ISE

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on May, 19th 2022

Building upon the success of the previous HOPV conferences, the conference will provide an excellent opportunity for scientists and engineers around the world to discuss the latest developments in hybrid and organic photovoltaics. The main topics of this conference are the development, function, and modeling of materials and devices for hybrid and organic solar cells, including solar cells, organic solar cells, quantum dot solar cells, and dye-sensitized solar cells, together with their integration into complimentary devices such as photoelectrochemical water splitting

[MATCHMAKING EVENT] - Took place on Dec, 01st 2021

Are you working within this field and looking to make new connections and find partners to work with on future Perovskite-silicon tandems projects under international and/or national funding schemes? Register to participate in PV-Impact Perovskite-Silicon Tandems matching event  will be held on-line on  December 1st, 2021

[WORKSHOP] - Took place on Apr, 13th 2021

Tandem solar cells have emerged as a promising option for surpassing the single-junction efficiency limit, with impressive power conversion efficiencies above 29% reported recently in metal halide perovskite/silicon tandems as well as highly efficient III-V/silicon and perovskite/CIGS devices. 1st tandemPV workshop  organized "on line"  by HZB,  is the first dedicated event to bring together researchers from around the world who are studying tandem solar cells, with an emphasis on perovskite/silicon-based devices.
