First draft of the Exploitation Plan of VIPERLAB

[Project Update]

A first draft of the Exploitation Plan of VIPERLAB has been recently written. This document describes the strategy that the members of the Exploitation Board, together with the Work Package leaders (as Key Exploitable Result Owners) have defined as draft within the first months of operation of the VIPERLAB project.

The goal of the Exploitation Plan is to define the measures that will ensure that the main results attained within the frame of this project will remain in operation for the long term after the end of the project, and that they are exploited in the benefit of the perovskite community, and the sustainability of our way of living.

This plan identifies the Key Exploitable Results, and provides a first analysis of their exploitation pathway.

It is worth mentioning here that the characteristic elements of the VIPERLAB project, which is underpinned by three pillars i. e. Transnational Access (TA) to infrastructures, Virtual Access (VA) to infrastructures and Joint Research Activities (JRA) have been considered in this first Exploitation Plan draft.

In this context, the exploitation pathway has been identified to have fundamental differences in the case of community building and access to infrastructures, which can be exploited through further research activities, differently to the JRAs, for which an initial base for a standard, or providing an advanced characterization or aging service, is foreseen.

To accelerate the exploitation of VIPERLAB results and facilitate the access to VIPERLAB research infrastructures, VIPERLAB will build up a close dialogue with the emerging perovskite industry with the help of new initiatives such as EPKI as well as more established players such as the European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC) and the European Solar Industry Association, SolarPower Europe.

Finally, as the VIPERLAB project evolves, this first draft report will be updated every 6 months including new results and exploitation possibilities.

This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N° 101006715
