[SPRING SCHOOL]

HZB PHOTON SCHOOL
On-line Lectures, 18th - 22nd March 2024
On-site Training, 25th - 28th March 2024*

Excited to share the HZB Photon School 2024 a great opportunity for master students and early-stage researchers in physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering, life, or environmental sciences. Organized by the team behind the EMIL infrastructure shared in the VIPERLAB project, this school offers a unique chance to explore synchrotron and laboratory-based methods.

Participants will be introduced to synchrotron and laboratory-based methods that probe the molecular structure, function and dynamics of complex material systems.

Join us online from 18th-22nd March for lectures and on-site training from 25th-28th March at the Wilhelm-Conrad-Röntgen-Campus, Berlin-Adlershof

(*) Contingent on BESSY II is operating at a level that allows external users access

The two-week program consists of basic and specialized lectures given by experienced teachers who are HZB scientists or BESSY II super-users from HZB partner universities and research centers. The second week is dedicated to ands-on trainings  at several BESSY II experimental stations and X-ray laboratories. Participants will get a vivid experience by joining an experiment to work in small groups. The second week's activities will teach participants how to collect, analyze, interpret and present their own data amongst peers and specialists.
