The 16th International Conference on Hybrid and Organic Photovoltaics, 13-16th May 2024  took place at the Palacio de la Exposición in Valencia.

The conference devoted special attention to cross-disciplinary discussions and knowledge exchange, highlighting the importance of advanced materials and emerging technologies in the solar energy field. It also featured special sessions on energy policy and career development.

Key topics of the conference included material design in organic and hybrid photovoltaics, artificial intelligence and machine learning for energy technologies, advanced characterization techniques for new-generation photovoltaics, breaking efficiency limits, operational stability measurement and reporting, scale-up and commercialization of new-generation photovoltaics, emerging framework materials for energy conversion, multifunctional materials in energy conversion and beyond, emerging concepts in solar energy conversion (from optoionics to photoferroics), photoelectrochemical energy conversion, and energy policy and diplomacy.

VIperlab Project deeply participated in the event:

  • Dott.ssa Vera La Ferrara, from ENEA, had a talk on "Green Anisole as Antisolvent in Planar Triple-Cation Perovskite Solar Cells with Varying Cesium Concentrations" .
  • Ing. Manuela Ferrara, from ENEA, presented a poster on "Co-evaporation and hybrid approaches for fabrication of MAPbI3 for perovskite solar cells"
  • PhD Feray Ünlü, from HZB-Aging, presented a poster on "Fabrication of MAPbI3 from non-toxic solvents for “greener” solution-processed perovskite solar cells". She as winner as Best Poster from EnliTechnology Co., Ltd.
